Meet at the El Cajon office
El Cajon is east of San Diego. The Jamacha Road office gives you an East County meeting option; ask about the appointment location before you travel.
Jeff's El Cajon office is at 236 Jamacha Road, Suite 102. This gives East County clients an alternative to the firm's La Jolla office. You can start by phone or video, upload documents electronically and arrange the in-person review and signing meeting at the office that works for you. Confirm the location when booking rather than assuming every appointment is at the main office.
The attorney, practice areas and consultation process are the same at either location. The important difference is convenience for your appointment, not a separate kind of bankruptcy service.
When a notice has a deadline
If you have received a wage garnishment notice, a foreclosure sale date or collection lawsuit papers, tell Jeff about the document and the date when you first call. The firm's collection protection page explains the automatic stay and the issues to discuss before filing. Most collection activity is generally affected by a bankruptcy filing, but exceptions and the history of a case matter.
An emergency conversation should identify what the creditor is doing, when it may happen and which records are available. Filing is a legal step; sending an inquiry or scheduling an appointment does not itself stop collection. Jeff can explain what preparation is possible and whether the timing allows a filing. The firm's emergency preparation depends on the particular situation, so call rather than treating an online request as a guarantee.
Look beyond the immediate pressure
After discussing the deadline, review the rest of your finances. An urgent notice may be the reason you called, while credit cards, a car payment, taxes or business debts affect the longer-term choice. Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 serve different purposes. Ask what each would mean for the debt that brought you in and for property you want to keep.
Discuss the fee, document requirements and next steps before committing. If you need a general introduction first, the firm's filing process article is a useful starting point.
Talk with Jeff about your options
Call 619-933-6057 for a free consultation, or request contact and describe the kind of help you are looking for. Jeff answers his own phone and explains the options in plain English. Attorney fees depend on the chapter and the situation; discuss the cost and available payment arrangements before committing.
For a El Cajon consultation, you can choose phone, video or an office appointment. The firm's usual preparation involves electronic documents and one in-person review and signing meeting. Ask what the process would involve for your case, including anything that needs attention before filing.
This page provides general information. A consultation request does not create an attorney-client relationship or guarantee a bankruptcy result. Please do not submit confidential information through the public form.
